Job Summary:

Responsibilities:
  • Assess patients' physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs, and develop individualized plans of care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to patients and families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in emergency nursing.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in Maryland or a compact state.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency services or 3-5 years in acute care.
  • BLS certification required; ACLS, PALS, and Hazmat certifications within 6-12 months.
  • Certification in emergency nursing preferred.
Work Environment:

The Emergency Department at LifeBridge Health features state-of-the-art facilities and technology, including a new CT scanner for early diagnosis of conditions such as strokes and heart attacks. The department also includes a behavioral health treatment pod for patients in psychiatric or behavioral health crisis.
