Job Summary:
Gorbel is a leading manufacturer of material handling and fall protection products, seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing mechanical assembly of non-electrical components, ensuring high-quality products that meet our customers' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assemble mechanical components in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to established work instructions and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of mechanical components and hardware, ensuring timely delivery of materials to production lines.
- Assemble and mount mechanical and subassembly components onto structures, following work instructions and blueprints.
- Plan and execute assembly work from drawings, pick lists, and bills of materials, prioritizing tasks to meet material delivery dates.
- Perform mechanical assembly, including building new units, troubleshooting, repairing, or modifying existing products.
- Collaborate with factory supervisors to ensure smooth production operations and address any issues that may arise.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; two years of mechanical assembly experience preferred.
- Knowledge of basic hand tools and some powered equipment, with ability to read tape measure and blueprints.
- Ability to communicate effectively with factory supervisors and team members.
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and wear safety equipment as required.
Benefits:
- Competitive salary range: $15.00 - $25.13 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

Work Environment:
- Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels.
- Must be able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout the shift.
