Banner Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess and prioritize patient needs, providing individualized care to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Develop and implement comprehensive care plans, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to achieve patient goals.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
- Monitor patient vital signs, lab results, and other data to identify potential complications and take proactive measures to prevent adverse events.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and address concerns.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as radiology and laboratory, to ensure timely and accurate test results.
- Document patient information accurately and thoroughly, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- At least one year of experience in an emergency department or critical care setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple patients, and maintain a calm demeanor in high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare software.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field.
- Advanced certifications, such as CEN or CCRN.
- Experience with quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice.
