We are in search of a skilled Periodontal Surgical Assistant to become an integral part of our dedicated periodontic team. In this essential role, you will offer crucial assistance during both the preoperative and postoperative stages, ensuring our patients receive exceptional periodontal care. Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing patient documentation, recording treatment plans, and updating dental records
  • Operating diagnostic imaging equipment and developing radiographs
  • Preparing and sterilizing surgical instruments and materials in compliance with infection control protocols
  • Assisting the periodontist during all chairside procedures, including setup, anesthesia administration, and cleanup
  • Preparing patients for surgical procedures and monitoring vital signs throughout treatments
  • Educating patients on periodontal health, treatment plans, and postoperative care
  • Managing and ordering supplies necessary for periodontal treatments
  • Maintaining instruments and equipment for optimal functionality
  • Performing additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Completion of a certified dental assistant program (preferred)
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in dental surgical assisting
  • Certification in periodontic surgical assisting (preferred)
  • Radiography certification (preferred)
  • CPR Certification
