Job Overview

DXP Enterprises is seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic to join our team in Pasadena, TX. As a Pump Mechanic, you will be responsible for receiving, disassembling, inspecting, repairing, fabricating, painting, and packaging API centrifugal pumps and other related rotating equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on pumps and related equipment
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper function and safety
  • Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed
  • Use hand, power, pneumatic, and hydraulic tools to perform repairs
  • Work with multiple and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Requirements:

  • 5 years of experience working in a pump repair facility with previous experience repairing API centrifugal pumps and other related rotating equipment
  • Experience repairing IPM pumps, creating details, and making technical decisions
  • In-depth understanding of API 610 and other applicable standards
  • Ability to read pump sectional, machine drawings, and OEM pump manuals
  • Disassembly, inspection, and ability to write up a detailed rotating equipment report to all necessary repairs and or replacement parts needed

Additional Information:

Physical Demand: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Working Conditions: Must be able to work in a shop environment without AC and heat, with possible exposure to dirt, heat, and noise.

Shift Time/Overtime: 6:00 am to 6:30 pm CDT, must be able to work OT hours as required.

Education: High School Diploma or GED
