Pharmacist in Charge

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacist in Charge to lead our pharmacy department in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing pharmacy operations, including staff management, budgeting, and compliance with state and federal regulations.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pharmacy department, including supervising and coordinating the work of pharmacy technicians and other support staff. They will also be responsible for monitoring drug therapy regimens for appropriateness, safety, and efficacy, and collaborating with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement drug therapy protocols and guidelines.

The Pharmacist in Charge will provide medication counseling and education to patients, their families, and healthcare providers as needed, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of patient medication profiles and records. They will also maintain a clean and organized pharmacy workspace and comply with all safety and security protocols.

Requirements for the position include a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited college or university, a valid and active California state pharmacist license, and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a pharmacist in a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of pharmaceutical products, drug therapy protocols, and medication safety practices, as well as excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
