We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the NYS Office for People With Developmental Disabilities. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring their health and well-being are met.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and assess the medical needs of individuals, providing timely interventions and referrals as needed.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, working closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Provide education and training to staff on nursing procedures, medication administration, and other relevant topics.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal health outcomes.
- Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies and procedures that enhance patient care.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in New York State.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
