Position Summary:

The Senior CNC Machining Supervisor will manage and execute daily operations of the Mazak i1250s, which includes setup, operation, necessary inspections, troubleshooting, and the production of machined components through the operation of computer numerical control (CNC) machines. The work schedule is Monday to Thursday with 12-hour shifts; includes a 20% shift differential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team in a manufacturing setting
  • Facilitate communication and enhance the technical skills of team members
  • Onboard and train new personnel
  • Load components and operate machinery (Lathe, Mill, and/or EDM)
  • Ensure the uninterrupted production of components that align with customer specifications
  • Make minor adjustments to CNC programs and replace tooling as necessary
  • Conduct inspections of finished components using precision measuring tools such as micrometers, indicators, calipers, and comparators
  • Uphold quality standards through a comprehensive understanding of the Quality Management System
  • Monitor and document operational and performance challenges, providing insights to the supervisor
  • Foster and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, and other staff
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC experience
  • Strong team-oriented mindset
  • Self-driven with excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • A blend of technical and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to continuous learning
  • Meticulous attention to detail and capability to navigate complex tasks
  • Able to thrive in a customer-focused, deadline-oriented environment while maintaining a positive demeanor
