Geohazard Mitigation Technician

GeoStabilization International is seeking a highly skilled and physically fit Geohazard Mitigation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our field operations, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced technicians in various geohazard mitigation and bridge rehabilitation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Mix, spray, and operate shotcrete or grouting pumps
- Move materials on a construction site
- Read and determine measurements
- Maintain a clean and organized construction site
- Work together in a team environment
- Learn to operate rock drills
- Operate construction equipment such as excavators, all-terrain forklifts, man lifts, skid steers, and front-end loaders
- Basic Qualifications:
- Any prior soil stabilization, grouting, or foundation mitigation experience
- OR prior construction industry experience as a carpenter or framer
- OR prior concrete experience such as a concrete finisher/form builder or shotcrete experience
- OR significant experience working outdoors in a collaborative, physical environment
- Must not be afraid of heights
- The ability to travel at least 3 weeks out of every month
- Reliability and a strong work ethic
- Enthusiastically work with a diverse team
- A CDL Class A or a clean Motor Vehicle Driving Record

- Climates vary in degrees, in tropical to desert environments.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate and hearing protection is often required.
- Exposure to characteristic construction site dangers.
- Regular heavy lifting (50lbs+) of construction materials on the job site.
100% travelling in the Eastern US (East of the Mississippi River). Employees are expected to work a 3 weeks on, 1 week off schedule.
Pay: $20-$23/hr. In 2023, individuals in this role, with overtime, made the equivalent of over $27/hr.
