Job Description

As a Logistics Specialist at Tata Consultancy Services, you will be responsible for managing the inbound appointment process, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring timely delivery of shipments. Your duties will include:

  • Managing the flow of trucks from the bayside staging area to the unloading area at the warehouse.
  • Coordinating with the warehouse pager system and troubleshooting issues.
  • Tracking shipments with known quality issues and alerting teams upon arrival.
  • Providing daily reports on delivered loads, total number of loads, and critical loads delivered.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Communicating with carriers on truck ETA's and coordinating with the Pensacola Team.
  • Generating load reports for distribution to warehouse management.
  • Identifying trends and re-educating repeat offenders with the inbound team.
  • Training team members to act as backups when another team member is absent.

This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
