Fire Watch Specialist

Job Summary:

Matrix Service is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fire Watch Specialist to join our team. As a Fire Watch Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring activities inside and outside of confined spaces to ensure a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor fire hazards in the workplace and take necessary actions to prevent fires.
• Ensure that all fire safety equipment is in good working condition and easily accessible.
• Conduct regular inspections of the work area to identify potential fire hazards.
• Develop and implement fire safety procedures to prevent fires and ensure a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure that all safety protocols are followed.
• Provide training and guidance to new employees on fire safety procedures and protocols.
• Conduct regular drills and exercises to ensure that all employees are prepared in case of an emergency.
• Maintain accurate records of fire safety inspections and incidents.
• Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure a safe and efficient response to fires.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest fire safety regulations and standards.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in fire safety or a related field is preferred.
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and push/pull heavy equipment.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform tasks at heights.
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy equipment and materials.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
