The Industrial Oiler plays a crucial role within the Maintenance Team, assisting Millwrights and conducting preventative upkeep on machinery at the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lubricate and oil mechanical parts; ensure proper oil levels in gearboxes and hydraulic systems.
  • Fill oil cans and grease guns with designated lubricants.
  • Apply lubricants to moving components.
  • Grease bearings and friction surfaces; pour oil on chains and sprockets; monitor reservoir levels.
  • Transport 55-gallon drums or bulk lubricants to central distribution points using motorized lift equipment.
  • Report any defective or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
  • Maintain lubricant inventory and collaborate with Millwrights and purchasing to order necessary supplies.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Understand and interpret safety guidelines and regulations.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and comprehend printed materials, or have means to compensate for such.
  • Consistently perform safety functions related to essential duties.
  • Follow reasonable instructions and plan steps to execute essential functions with minimal supervision, taking initiative when necessary.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license is mandatory.
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedules, perform shift work, and work overtime as required.
  • Maintain courteous and respectful interactions with coworkers at all times.
  • Exhibit professionalism in interactions with customers, vendors, and visitors.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to move safely and efficiently, performing repetitive tasks. Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs. Must tolerate various weather conditions, loud environments, vibrations, and airborne particles.
