We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Intake Therapist to join our team at Positive Leaps. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work or Counseling, be licensed by the State of Ohio as a social worker (LSW) or counselor (LPC), and have at least two years of experience providing therapeutic mental health services.
The Intake Therapist will be responsible for coordinating intake and assessment activities, ensuring quality of services to families and children. This includes approximately 8 assessments per week with a small caseload of varying billable hours (up to 10 billable hours). The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with parents, peers, consumers, and team members, and maintain a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
The successful candidate will also have excellent verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work with physically aggressive children, and be willing to travel between locations to complete assessments as needed. They will also be able to run and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and work in a physically active environment.
