Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Officer to join our team at Pilgrim's. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our plant and its operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor plant activity and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Conduct hourly rounds to check trailer temperatures, room temperatures, and gates.
  • Monitor all associates entering and exiting the building, including car traffic.
  • Weigh trailers in and out using weight master scales.
  • Answer the switchboard after hours and respond to emergency situations.
  • Process billing loads and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Implement company policies and procedures, and provide training to associates as needed.
  • Operate company-owned vehicles safely and efficiently.
  • Inspect trailers for cleanliness and operability, and report any issues to management.
  • Receive shipments of supplies and raw materials, and ensure they are properly stored and accounted for.
Requirements
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with software applications.
  • Ability to walk more than one mile, on varying terrain, in all weather conditions, and up/down stairs.
  • Ability to perform assigned tasks without direct supervision.
  • Ability to communicate effectively under stress and pressure.
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Professional attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Security experience a plus.
  • Minimum High School diploma or GED required.
