Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Seasonal Pool Bartender to enhance our newly opened pool outlet, "Tortuga." This role is pivotal in crafting a delightful and relaxing atmosphere for our guests, all while enjoying the beautiful San Diego weather. As a Bartender, you will take the initiative to serve beverages to our patrons and ensure that the pool area is well-maintained and stocked, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain the bar area to ensure a welcoming environment.
- Follow established drink service protocols and familiarize yourself with our beverage offerings.
- Deliver prompt and friendly beverage service to guests.
- Collaborate with fellow associates to maintain cleanliness and organization in the bar area.
- Report any maintenance or supply needs to the appropriate personnel.
- Understand and adhere to liquor liability laws and company policies regarding responsible service.
- Ensure proper closing procedures for the bar are followed.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Monitor liquor costs and minimize waste to maintain profitability.
Qualifications:
- Previous guest service experience, ideally in an upscale environment.
- Experience in food and beverage service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with hotel operations is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills are essential.
- Ability to maintain a five-diamond standard for guest service.
- Must obtain a valid San Diego County Food Handler & Responsible Beverage Service certification upon hire.
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Must be at least 21 years old to serve alcohol.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Compensation: $17.55/hour. Please note that actual compensation may vary based on qualifications and experience.
