Steward (Housekeeping)

Loews Hotels is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Steward to join our housekeeping team. As a Steward, you will play a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen and dining areas, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and a memorable experience.

• Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and maintain food and beverage storage, preparation, and cooking areas, ensuring they are kept at the highest level of sanitation and quality.
• Dishwashing and Pot Washing: Maintain proper sanitation of all dishwashing and pot washing areas and equipment, operating and maintaining dishwashing equipment to provide clean, sanitized china, glass, and silver.
• Inventory Management: Sort, wash, and store all china, glassware, silverware, service wares, pots, pans, utensils, and maintain control over food and beverage china, glass, silver, cookware, and service equipment inventories.
• Trash Removal and Recycling: Remove all trash from kitchen areas, operate garbage disposal and trash compactor, and recycle whenever possible.
• Teamwork and Communication: Promote and apply teamwork skills at all times, notify appropriate individuals promptly and fully of problems and/or unusual matters of significance, and be polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management, and fellow employees.
• Emergency Procedures: Execute emergency procedures in accordance with hotel standards, comply with required safety regulations and procedures, and attend appropriate hotel meetings and training sessions.

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Language: Ability to understand basic English.
• Physical Demands: Ability to stand, bend, and stoop repetitively during an eight-hour shift, and lift up to 50 lbs. repetitively.
• Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of dishwashing equipment operation, chemicals, and chemical feed equipment, and ability to work flexible schedules to include weekends and holidays.
