Job Summary: Palisades Tahoe Resort is seeking a skilled Snowmaker to operate and maintain our snowmaking system, ensuring optimal skiing and snowboarding surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain snowmaking equipment to create high-quality snow surfaces
  • Collaborate with the winter operations team to develop and implement efficient snowmaking strategies
  • Assist in training and development of entry-level staff members
  • Conduct regular equipment checks and perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Work effectively in a team environment to achieve shared goals

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • One year of snowmaking experience or equivalent training
  • Valid driver's license
  • Extensive knowledge of mountain operations and snowmaking systems
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Welding and carpentry skills
  • Knowledge of plumbing and hydraulic systems
  • First Aid and CPR certification

Working Conditions: The Snowmaker will work in a fast-paced outdoor environment with exposure to extreme winter weather conditions.

Equipment Used: Snow guns, hoses, hydrants, compressors, hand tools, and snowmobiles.
