Role Summary:

We are in search of an experienced Senior Electrical Estimator, possessing at least a decade of expertise in heavy MEP construction. The successful candidate will be proficient in estimating intricate electrical projects, overseeing the entire estimation process from bid preparation to project execution. This position demands a comprehensive understanding of electrical systems and the capability to manage estimating tasks with accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Duties:

  • Generate precise and comprehensive cost estimates for large-scale electrical projects, including those in healthcare and industrial sectors.
  • Examine blueprints, specifications, and related documents to formulate detailed estimates.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to collect necessary information and clarify project specifications.
  • Prepare and deliver bid proposals, encompassing cost breakdowns, timelines, and project scope.
  • Assess and validate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Track and manage changes in project scope, adjusting estimates as necessary.
  • Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Stay informed on industry developments, technological innovations, and regulatory updates to maintain compliance and competitive edge.

Compensation:

Competitive salary of approximately $150,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in electrical estimating, particularly in heavy MEP construction.
  • Demonstrated success in estimating large and complex electrical projects.
  • Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, construction methodologies, and applicable codes and standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a knack for interpreting and applying technical data.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Proficiency in estimating software and tools.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • A collaborative mindset, as this role may involve assisting colleagues.
