Compensation:
$195 - $325/hour
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough face-to-face assessments and crisis interventions for mentally ill patients within correctional settings.
- Perform initial mental health evaluations, including detailed histories of criminal, psychiatric, and substance abuse issues to determine treatment needs.
- Execute comprehensive suicide risk assessments by utilizing established protocols and documenting findings accurately.
- Engage in Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) meetings to collaborate on patient care.
- Maintain detailed documentation of all patient interactions and treatment progress using SOAPE-formatted notes.
- Apply ethical practices and community psychiatric treatment standards effectively.
- Conduct mental status examinations during clinical interviews and identify relevant symptoms for accurate diagnosis.
- Review existing mental health records to support diagnosis and treatment planning.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active California Physician license from the Medical Board/Osteopathic Board.
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Psychiatry from recognized boards.
- Minimum of 12 consecutive months of relevant experience within the last 3 years.
- Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification.
