As a Surgical Services Specialist, you will be integral in collaborating with the entire surgical team to ensure exceptional care for our patients. Key Qualifications:
  • Completion of an accredited surgical technology program.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist through the NBSTSA or NCCT.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the sterile environment of the operating room is maintained until the patient is transferred to recovery.
  • Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments and the operating area.
  • Assisting in preparing patients for surgical procedures.
  • Collecting, counting, and organizing the necessary surgical instruments and tools for operations.
  • Preparing patients for their surgical interventions.
  • Maintaining a sterile operating room environment.
  • Handing surgical instruments to the surgeon and assisting personnel.
  • Supporting the retraction of tissues during surgical procedures.
  • Counting all instruments and tools utilized during surgeries.
  • Applying dressings to surgical sites post-operation.
  • Properly disposing of needles and gauze.
