We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinarian - Mobile Care Specialist to join our team in providing in-home euthanasia and hospice care services to geriatric and terminally ill pets and their families.
About the Role
- Provide in-home euthanasia and hospice care services to pets and their families, promoting a peaceful and dignified end-of-life experience.
- Guide families in making informed end-of-life decisions for their pets, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
- Build relationships with local veterinary clinics, serving as an extension of their excellent care and providing a seamless transition for pet families.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home visits to assess the pet's condition and provide personalized care and support to the pet and its family.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each pet and its family.
- Collaborate with pet families to ensure their understanding of the pet's condition and the available options for end-of-life care.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to pet families during this challenging time, promoting a sense of comfort and peace.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS) degree from an accredited institution.
- At least 1 year of experience as a practicing veterinarian, with a strong background in in-home euthanasia and hospice care.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pet families and local veterinary clinics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.
