The Tampa General Hospital Foundation Inc is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team on a seasonal contract basis. As a Registered Nurse with our organization, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate assigned patients and develop individualized care plans to meet their unique needs
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures, ensuring accurate and timely documentation
- Perform various patient tests and administer medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse
- Promote patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills
- Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, ensuring high-quality patient outcomes
- Work a 4x 10 schedule, with varying days and call requirements
- Hold a current Florida RN license, with CNOR certification preferred
- Hold an Associate's degree in nursing, with a Bachelor's degree preferred
- Hold current certifications in BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and ACLS through ARC or AHA
- Have a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience, with preferred experience as a Circulating and Scrub nurse
