Full-Time Community Homes Nurse Opportunity

Lifesteps, Inc. is a non-profit human services organization serving Western Pennsylvania for nearly 100 years by providing life-changing programs and services to individuals with special needs.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Nurse to join our team in the Butler area. This full-time position will work closely with individuals in our Community Homes, supporting their medical needs and educating staff on proper care.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will serve as a liaison and advocate for our residents, verifying medical recommendations are implemented and staff receives necessary training. The Nurse will also communicate effectively with supervisors, directors, and medical professionals.

This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to complete basic computer tasks. A current driver's license and willingness to travel for business are also essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Support and educate staff on resident care
  • Communicate with supervisors, directors, and medical professionals
  • Verify medical recommendations are implemented
  • Train staff on resident care

Requirements:

  • Active PA LPN or RN license
  • 1 year experience in nursing
  • Demonstrated ability to complete basic computer tasks
  • First Aid/CPR certification (or completion within 6 months)
  • Current driver's license
