Job Summary:

The Elementary Teacher will be responsible for instructing students in a primary school setting, promoting academic and interpersonal skills through a defined course of study. The ideal candidate will have a valid Oregon teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement from the Teacher Standards and Practices Commission (TSPC) and be able to maintain a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Instruct students in academic and interpersonal skills through a defined course of study.
  • Use State and District adopted curriculum and goals to promote student success.
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration.
  • Develop and maintain a safe and optimal learning environment.
  • Communicate course goals and academic expectations to students.

Requirements:
  • Valid Oregon teaching certificate with appropriate endorsement from the TSPC.
  • Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Knowledge of age-appropriate teaching methods, state curriculum framework, education code, and appropriate instructional subjects.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual.
  • Positive Behavior Intervention Strategies.
