The University Cancer & Blood Center is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomy Specialist to join our Laboratory team. This full-time role involves working on designated days across our Lavonia and Toccoa locations, with varying hours based on the site. The successful candidate must be prepared to start early in the morning on certain days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Escort patients to their assigned healthcare provider.
• Accurately measure and record vital signs.
• Perform blood draws and other lab tests as directed by the healthcare provider, including finger sticks and venipuncture.
• Prepare patients for examinations or treatment procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and laboratory spaces.
• Support healthcare providers during bone marrow biopsy procedures.

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Phlebotomist is required.
• Prior experience in a medical setting is preferred.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• A positive and professional demeanor is essential.
