About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Production Assembler to join our team at Traffic & Parking Control Co. As an Electrical/Mechanical Assembler, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers receive high-quality finished products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble custom orders according to engineered-to-order standards and documentation
  • Program and test finished products
  • Pack products into wooden or cardboard containers or select preassembled containers using protective padding
  • Participate in cell changeovers from part to part
  • Perform minor maintenance
  • Solve routine problems
  • Learns Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles and practice them on a daily basis
  • Conduct regular 5S audits and quality audits and checks
  • Shares and supports ideas for improvement in group meetings
  • Participate in group and individual improvement activities with team members, engineering, and management
  • Helps implement and support improvement ideas
  • Communicate with the Cell/Team Leader, Planner, and Management as required
Requirements
  • Electronics - OMS law, AC/DC, Voltage/Amps, solar controls
  • Mechanical ability
  • Able to read, and interpret electronic and mechanical work instructions, drawings, and schematics
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Communication skills - strong verbal, listening, and written
  • Able to analyze and solve routine problems with a variety of concrete variables in situations where some standardization exists
  • Computer skills - Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, testing
  • 1-2 years prior relevant experience within the industry
  • Prior experience assembling panels, wire harnesses, and/or other electrical control
  • Prior experience working in a team/cell-based environment
  • Able to lift up to 35 lbs and able to stand for 75% of the day
