The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire back-of-house operation, ensuring efficient food production, and maintaining high-quality standards. Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily line checks and safety walk-throughs to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

  • Review suppliers and their prices regularly to ensure the best value for the company.
  • Monitor food waste and implement strategies to minimize it.
  • Maintain a well-stocked kitchen with necessary supplies and equipment.
  • Create a positive and respectful work environment.
  • Oversee the entire life cycle of team members, including hiring, training, coaching, and terminations.
  • Ensure high standards of food quality, guest service, cost control, and consistency of service.
  • Manage staffing levels and controllable costs to meet budget requirements.
  • Enforce inventory controls and maintain accurate records.
  • Ensure up-to-date information on menu items and food allergens.
  • Comply with all safety and health department procedures and state and federal liquor laws.
  • Maintain company safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ensure proper checkout procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • 21+ years of age.
  • Minimum of three to five years of related experience.
  • Proficient in Windows MS Office, Open Table, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of profitability analysis and budgeting, cost of sales, payroll management, purchasing, receiving, inventories, and cost controls.
  • Knowledge of state and local laws related to labor and health code regulations.
  • Experience with POS systems and back-office reporting systems.
  • Proper lifting techniques.
  • Guest relations.
  • Sanitation and safety.
  • Full-service restaurant operations.
  • Effective communication and assertiveness in the English language.
Working Conditions:
  • Small to medium office or shared workspace.
  • Work indoors and/or outdoors, exposed to hot and/or cold surfaces, steam, and wet floors.
  • Work in a fast-paced, high-volume, full-service restaurant environment.
  • Work varied shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to walk long periods.
