Food Server

The Food Server at Larry Flynt's Lucky Lady Casino is responsible for providing exceptional dining experiences to our guests. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of previous food server experience, with six months experience in an upscale restaurant preferred.

The successful candidate will be able to maintain a professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance, adhering to casino appearance standards. They will also be able to make change using American Monetary units and work shifts including weekends and holidays.

The Food Server will be responsible for guiding guests through menus, demonstrating a thorough knowledge of the food and beverages. They will provide quality and courteous food and beverage service to our guests, acknowledging and greeting them in a friendly and courteous manner.

The ideal candidate will have excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and speak English. They will also be able to determine and shift priorities quickly, solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of variables.

The Food Server will be required to maintain a clean work area at all times, never indicating that tips or gratuities are expected or required from customers. They will also be required to perform all other work-related duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year of previous food server experience
• Six months experience in an upscale restaurant preferred
• Professional, neat, and well-groomed appearance

Education/Training:

• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)

Language Skills:

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to read, write, and speak English

Physical Demands:

• Ability to safely lift minimum of 75 lbs. without restrictions
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to constantly reach with hands and arms; occasionally required to walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Work Environment:

• Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud
• Ability to concentrate in an intense, fast-paced environment with numerous distractions

Casino Requirements:

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Must be able to obtain, and maintain, a Gardena Police Department/City issued Casino Work Permit
