Social Media Strategist

About the Role
Social media strategists develop digital marketing approaches for achieving maximum impact of the overarching brand story. They have a strong understanding of social platforms, taking an active role in all aspects of a social project - identifying brands' issues, running competitive benchmarks, forming recommendations, building program architectures, defining performance drivers, and KPI frameworks. These strategists advocate for the right set of actions on social platforms to implement a strategy and help create necessary consensus within both the internal client team and the client's organization to achieve results.
Responsibilities
- Translate business objectives into social media objectives, enriched by proprietary benchmarks.
- Analyze available insights and define overall strategies in terms of distribution and amplification.
- Select platforms and define roles and objectives for each one in the global plan.
- Define content amplification principles, including segmentation and contextualization approaches.
- Map all distribution segments per platform and associate budget needs based on KPIs and objectives.
- Recommend formats and placements to be leveraged based on campaign objectives and budget limitations.
- Define advertising pressures to achieve goals while considering budget limitations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- 3-5 years of experience in social marketing with proven examples of strategies developed within the social media space.
- A deep understanding of client businesses and the ability to connect business challenges with social strategies and tactics.
- Expertise in social media and a strong understanding of the wider digital communications landscape.
- The ability to research and generate data-based insights to weave into the strategy process.
- Superior communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- A passion for innovation and next emerging platforms or partners to consider as part of social strategy results.
