Key Responsibilities:
- Collect patient out-of-pocket amounts and verify insurance coverage to ensure necessary procedures are covered.
- Enter data accurately in the organization's insurance system and verify existing information.
- Provide patients with pertinent information regarding their coverage and explain coverage amounts provided by their insurance policy.
- Assist patients in arranging payment for services not covered by their insurance companies and discuss financing options.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Ability to type 45 WPM
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel
- At least 1 year experience working with insurance companies and extensive knowledge of different types of coverage and policies
