Senior Radiology Technologist

Job Summary

Northwell Health is seeking a skilled Senior Radiology Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for guiding the operation of X-ray equipment to produce high-quality radiographs of designated portions of the body.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images of patients, assisting with diagnosis and treatment.
• Position radiographic equipment or x-ray film to produce images with necessary detail or contrast.
• Store and retrieve patient records while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Prepare and maintain patient records to ensure proper billing.
• Develop films by automatic and manual processing, adhering to established dark room procedures.
• Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshoot issues.
• Train new employees and instruct students on imaging procedures.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements

• Vocational or Technical school Diploma required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• 3-5 years of technical experience in radiology or a related field.
