Job Summary

Alvin Community College is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Police Officer to join our team. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Enforce all state and federal laws, as well as college rules and regulations.
  • Conduct patrols on campus to prevent and detect crime.
  • Investigate crimes and incidents, and prepare reports as necessary.
  • Provide assistance to students, faculty, and staff in emergency situations.
  • Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age 21.
  • Must possess a Texas Commission of Law Enforcement Peace Officer license and be current with Texas Commission on Law Enforcement mandated training/hours.
  • Law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work a rotating schedule and weekends in an educational environment.
  • Must have a current valid Texas driver's license with no more than three (3) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Law enforcement experience.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and intermediate computer skills.
