Job Summary

Maine Medical Center - Portland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced EEG Technologist to join our Radiology Department. As an EEG Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform EEG procedures on patients of all ages, including neonatal and pediatric patients, in a variety of settings, including intensive care units.
  • Operate and maintain EEG equipment, including Natus NeuroWorks, and troubleshoot technical issues with IT and vendors.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient patient care.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, including one weeknight and one weekend per month.

Requirements

  • ABRET registration in EEG is required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as an EEG Technologist.
  • Advanced pediatric experience and ambulatory EEG experience with paste, tape, wrap method are highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Schedule

This is a 40-hour per week position, Monday through Friday, with 36 hours of weekend coverage (unless otherwise noted). On-call rotations are required, including one weeknight and one weekend per month.

  • Number of beds: 4 outpatient exam rooms.
  • Equipment: Natus NeuroWorks.
  • EMR: Epic.
  • Type of patients on unit: All ages.
