Job Summary:

As a highly skilled Electrician II at ENGIE North America Inc., you will be responsible for performing duties in the installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of low, medium, and high voltage electrical generation and distribution systems and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform duties as a highly skilled electrician in the installation, operation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of low, medium, and high voltage electrical generation and distribution systems and equipment.
  • Assist Utility Electrician III or High Voltage Electrician with operation, installation, removal, cleaning, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of 15,000 and 138,000-volt class equipment.
  • Direct and inspect contractor work in the installation of permanent and temporary power sources.
  • Perform equipment lockout/tagout and use test equipment to remedy and prevent problems.
  • Operate cranes and/or lift vehicles to move electrical equipment.
  • Read blueprints, electrical diagrams, technical manuals, and update drawings and schematics.
  • Plan jobs, order materials, inspect, and diagnose cable and equipment faults.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years work experience as a commercial/industrial electrician.
  • 6 years experience in installation and maintenance of 600V class electrical systems.
  • 3 years of experience and ability to install and maintain troubleshoot/repair 5000 and 15000-volt class electrical systems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and assist in training other personnel.
  • Willingness to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
