Job Description
- Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and document treatment according to company policy and regulations.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patient conditions.
- Assess and evaluate patient needs for, and responses to, care rendered.
- Apply sound nursing judgment in patient care management decisions.
- Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses.
- Administer over-the-counter and prescription medications as ordered.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to create a Plan of Care for all patients.
- Direct and guide ancillary personnel and maintain standards of professional nursing.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Graduate of a professional academic nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree).
- Must hold current NYS Registered Nurse license.
- Obtain and maintain certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- Minimum of 1-3 years of previous clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care.
- Excellent communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Possesses knowledge of quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving tools and techniques.
