About the RoleThe Residential Advisor plays a critical role in ensuring quality services are delivered to residents. This includes maintaining a 3% worker-to-resident ratio, delivering recreational activities, and providing support for students.
This position requires strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data and resolve problems. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience working with youth and adults aged 16-24 in an educational or training setting.
The Residential Advisor is responsible for:
- Maintaining a safe and healthy living environment;
- Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures;
- Providing guidance and support to students; and
- Collaborating with other staff members to achieve program goals.
The Residential Advisor will be responsible for ensuring that all equipment assigned to departments is properly accounted for and maintained in good condition. They will also be required to conduct regular inspections of dormitories and recreational areas to ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, and one year of related experience and/or training. Data entry experience and familiarity with word processing and spreadsheet applications are preferred.
