Job Summary:
As a Nurse Clinician, you will provide infusion nursing services to patients as prescribed by their physician. You will assess, plan and teach patients from a broad age range and diverse backgrounds about the infusion, the therapy and the equipment required to provide infusion services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • You will work with a variety of referral sources to obtain necessary information for patient care.
  • You will perform tasks to initiate and provide prescribed therapy, including scheduling appointments, ordering supplies and medication, and communicating with other departments.
  • You will verify all received information using Geisinger's electronic medical record and interviewing clients.
  • You will communicate referral information both verbally and electronically to appropriate departments and outside agencies as needed for care.
  • You will develop and maintain a plan of care based on the patient's current needs in relation to the ordered therapy and provide education to the patient and caregiver for the prescribed therapy and vascular access device.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. Accountable for satisfying all job specific obligations and complying with all organization policies and procedures.
