Job Title: Ophthalmic Specialist

The MRG Exams team is seeking an experienced Ophthalmic Specialist to join our part-time, non-treating role. As a key member of our SHA process, you will review medical records, perform thorough eye exams, and submit evaluations without treatment responsibilities.

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year (dependent on location and experience).

This flexible part-time opportunity allows you to make a meaningful impact in the lives of Veterans with a schedule focused on assessments. You will work independently as an independent contractor, proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT), analyzing medical records and exam findings to create accurate, timely reports.

About the Role:
  • Review Veterans' medical records through a secure web portal.
  • Perform thorough eye exams, including Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Complete and submit evaluation forms via the web portal within 24 hours of the exam.

Requirements:
  • Possess relevant professional qualifications as an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist.
  • Skilled in analyzing medical records and exam findings to create accurate, timely reports.
  • Proficient in Visual Field Testing (VFT).
  • Independent contractor status required.
