Key Responsibilities
  • Assist veterinarians with medical procedures, including animal restraint, triage, and diagnostic imaging
  • Collect and analyze lab samples, and manage and nurse care of medical and hospitalized cases
  • Administer medications, communicate treatment plans with clients, and provide exceptional customer service
  • Participate in surgical preparation and assistance, and anesthetic management
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities
Requirements
  • Active veterinary technician license required; 1+ year of experience preferred
  • High work ethic and positive attitude, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with ability to interpret medical records and record client history accurately
  • Knowledge of preventative care, surgical procedures, and hospital flow
  • Ability to restrain pets in a low-stress and safe manner, and proficient in sample collection and laboratory procedures
Working Conditions
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods, and work in a moderately high noise environment
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, and have good hand-eye coordination and visual acuity
  • Exposure to a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, and reptiles
