Position OverviewWe are seeking a driven Senior Environmental Engineer to enhance our Engineering, Construction, and Remediation division. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in environmental project management, remediation design, and compliance with environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Engage in a variety of environmental assignments, including soil and groundwater sampling, remediation planning, and regulatory reporting.
- Conduct comprehensive environmental assessments, including Phase I and II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs).
- Develop and execute remedial investigation and response action plans.
- Oversee field operations, ensuring effective planning and coordination with subcontractors and clients.
- Lead the design and implementation of remediation systems, including construction oversight and maintenance.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications across all deliverables.
- Prepare and review technical documentation, reports, and engineering designs.
- Manage project budgets, scopes, and timelines, ensuring successful project execution.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members.
- Achieve billable utilization targets while maintaining high standards of communication.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality management protocols.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or Geology; Master's degree preferred.
- California Professional Engineer (P.E.) or Geologist (P.G.) license.
- 5 to 15 years of relevant consulting and construction experience.
- Proven ability to produce high-quality technical documents and reports.
- Hands-on experience in environmental remediation at industrial sites.
- Preferred certifications: California Construction Stormwater QSP/QSD, OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER, and OSHA 8-hour HAZWOPER Supervisor.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Experience in preparing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.
- Proficiency in developing construction documents and providing bid assistance.
- Familiarity with landfill design and hydrogeologic modeling.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
- Willingness to travel as needed for project assignments.
