Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Coder to join our team at The Toledo Clinic. The successful candidate will be responsible for applying CPT and ICD-10 codes to all procedures performed for a given date of service, as well as tracking patients seen and working eCW claims for denials and errors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Code visits utilizing ICD-10 and CPT codes from patient visit documentation
  • Demographic registration and updates for all patients
  • Enter charges into claim entry in eCW
  • Monitor, submit, and correct all claim activity
  • Create workflow processes to ensure accuracy and accountability
Requirements
  • Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT codes and manuals required
  • Consistently arrive at work, in professional attire, on time, and complete all tasks within established time frames
  • Seek out tasks when primary tasks are completed and assist coworkers as needed
  • Demonstrate adaptability to expanded roles
  • CPC or CCS-P certification or ability to pass Toledo Clinic's comprehensive coding test
  • Adhere to all Toledo Clinic policies and procedures

  • Previous coding experience
