Job Overview

Career Strategies is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team in Cape Coral, FL. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and maintenance of our properties.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year

As a Maintenance Technician, you will perform a variety of tasks including electrical and plumbing repairs, drywall repair, painting, and groundskeeping. You must have excellent problem-solving skills and be able to work effectively with residents, contractors, and fellow employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify, diagnose, and repair issues related to electrical, plumbing, A/C, and heating systems, appliances, stairs, railings, gas fixtures, carpet, tiles, flooring, etc.
  • Perform plumbing repairs, replacements, or installations, including faucets, pipes, hot water tanks, toilets, garbage disposals, dishwashers, water-dispensing refrigerators, and washing machines.
  • Conduct electrical repairs, replacements, or installations, including power switches, fuses, wall sockets, ceiling lights, ceiling fans, climate control systems, and garage doors openers.
  • Complete drywall repairs, including filling small holes caused by nails and minor dings from normal wear and tear.
  • Perform painting tasks, including minor touch-ups following damage repair and new coats of paint applied to unit walls.
  • Repair or replace major household appliances, such as refrigerators, dishwashers, range ovens, washers, and dryers.
  • Participate in groundskeeping activities, including mowing grass, pulling weeds, trimming and pruning trees and shrubs, watering lawns and plants, replacing light bulbs along pathways and parking areas, sweeping or raking leaves, and tidying up bark or other ground covering.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
