Position Overview:
The Medical University of South Carolina is in search of a dedicated Neonatal Care Specialist to join our esteemed Level I/II practice. This role is integral to our collaborative efforts with MUSC Health, ensuring high-quality care for our youngest patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Attend to high-risk deliveries and formulate individualized care plans for each infant.
  • Engage in real-time collaboration with MUSC physicians through advanced Telehealth technology.

The ideal candidate will possess the confidence and expertise necessary to make critical decisions regarding patient care while effectively communicating essential information to off-site collaborating physicians.


Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience in neonatal nursing practice. Responsibilities include:
  • Inpatient coverage for Level I/II Nursery with a commitment to scheduled shifts.
  • Shifts are typically from 8 AM to 5 PM, with on-call responsibilities from home after hours.
  • Comfort with managing patients from 32 weeks gestation and above, including resuscitation and various neonatal procedures.

Additional skills required include proficiency in circumcision, with training provided as necessary.
