About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As an MRI Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that patients receive high-quality, efficient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging procedures using MRI equipment and your knowledge of anatomy/patient positioning for optimum imaging.
  • Explain the procedure to the patient and address any questions or concerns they may have.
  • Identify anatomical orientation on all required images and ensure proper film identification.
  • Evaluate the quality of the MRI procedure and determine if additional imaging is required, prior to communicating procedure information to the radiologist.
  • Participate in on-call duties as assigned to meet department needs.
Requirements
  • Two years' experience in the field of Radiologic Technology to support on-the-job training or one year of experience as an MRI technologist.
  • ARRT and Basic Life Support Certification.
  • Two years' experience as an MRI technologist in a hospital environment preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or accredited MRI program preferred.
