Cytology Supervisor

Job Summary:

K.A. Recruiting is seeking a highly skilled Cytology Supervisor to join our team in a permanent capacity. As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you will be responsible for examining gynecologic and non-gynecologic samples submitted for cytologic examination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately evaluate cytology samples and assess diagnostic categories using current terminology.
• Maintain slide review rate standards and perform quality control according to CLIA '88 guidelines.
• Stay updated on department procedures and utilize computers for result entry and slide routing.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Assist with department problem-solving and prepare fine needle aspiration specimens.
• Provide support for specimen preparation and clerical tasks as needed.
• Maintain competency assessments and stay current with department procedures.

Requirements:

• Qualified as a cytotechnologist under CFR with certification by ASCP or equivalent accrediting agency.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Capable of accurate cytology sample evaluation with necessary eye-hand coordination and visual acuity.
