This is a part-time position for a 7a-7p Weekend IA (Information Associate) to support the clinical staff and assist on the floor with patient care when needed.
Job Summary:The Information Associate serves as an integral member of the primary patient care team, performing clerical duties to maintain an organized healthcare office and allow medical staff to focus on patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform standard administrative responsibilities, including coordinating department communication within the unit and with supervisory and management teams.
- Admit patients, administer and maintain patient records, break down medical charts for record keeping, and coordinate billing.
- Provide basic patient cares, such as bathing, hygiene, elimination, and toileting, nutrition, feeding, and hydration, ambulation, and positioning.
- Support patient safety and satisfaction by performing regular patient rounds on the nursing unit and effectively communicating with all team members.
- Junior College/Technical School preferred
- Certified Nursing Assistant or currently enrolled in a professional nursing education program with documented completion of Fundamentals of Nursing
- BLS required
- KC Food Handler Card within 30 days
- Assigned scrub color/uniform will be required
