We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Construction Project Manager to join our team at GPAC. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing and supervising various aspects of heavy civil construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Oversight: Oversee and supervise Carpenter Foremen, Pile Foremen, and project operations as it relates to bridge and concrete structures.
- Construction Planning: Work with project managers to determine method and sequencing of construction, plan, direct, coordinate, and budget activities.
- Day-to-Day Operations: Manage day-to-day activities, prepare daily electronic field logs, and develop and maintain good working relationships with owners, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Safety Management: Communicate and promote a safe working environment and company safety standards, with strong knowledge of OSHA regulations in regards to crane and bridge construction.
- Quality Control: Inspect work in progress to ensure quality workmanship that conforms to contract specifications and standards, with a working knowledge of MoDOT Quality Management Program.
- Problem-Solving: Confer with supervisory and engineering personnel, inspectors, and suppliers of tools and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with all Equal Employment Opportunity/Affirmative Action policies and procedures.
- Project Coordination: Assist in the development of lift plans, form systems, support of excavations systems, demolition plans, schedule subcontractors, inspect and verify the receipt or shipment of materials, and develop 2-week schedules to plan and coordinate labor, equipment, material, and needs.
- Team Collaboration: Interface with team members to communicate company issues, compliment exemplary work or effort, and address grievances as necessary.
- Experience: 5+ years' related experience with civil highway bridge construction operations required.
- Skills: Proficient with Outlook, Excel, and Word, ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, strong written, communication, and problem-solving skills, strong leadership and management skills, and experience with Pile Driving, Concrete Forming, Steel or Beam Erection, Temporary and Permanent Shoring, Drilled-shaft Foundations, Bridge Deck Forming, and Concrete Placement.
- Certifications: Current OSHA (10 Hour) Certification.
