About the Role

Rasmussen University is seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in our Surgical Technology program. As a key member of our faculty team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction and creating a supportive learning environment for our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Fundamentals of Surgical Technology (Lab) courses, including standards of conduct, special populations, safety standards, equipment, biomedical science, asepsis and sterile technique, surgical supplies, and instrumentation.
  • Develop and implement curriculum and assessment for the Surgical Technology program.
  • Provide student support and outreach, including availability for students via phone, email, and individual appointments.
  • Collaborate with Academic Deans and other University staff to ensure effective teaching and learning.
  • Participate in faculty meetings and committee work as agreed upon and/or designated by the Dean.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Surgical Technology or related field.
  • Active, unrestricted CST or CST/CSFA certification.
  • 2+ years of experience in the operating room scrub role, as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both within the past 5 years.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
