Respiratory Therapist Job Description

At AdaptHealth LLC, we are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide high-quality respiratory care to patients in alternate sites, adhering to our company's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver preventative, rehabilitative, and palliative respiratory care to patients, utilizing all available resources within the agency and community.
  • Document procedures, including patient tolerance, side effects, and other relevant information, in compliance with ACHC and company policies.
  • Review and update Plan of Treatments and Care Plans to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist with authorization for CPAP/BiPAP referrals and maintain inventory control of related supplies.
  • Utilize knowledge of respiratory equipment to troubleshoot issues in the field and provide effective solutions.
  • Participate in discharge planning, performing clinical assessments, and reporting results to referrals and physicians.
  • Provide in-services to hospital staff, referrals, and other professionals on equipment and clinical issues.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Associates degree from an AMA-approved respiratory program.
  • Valid and unrestricted RT clinical license in all states serviced by the branch or an Associate degree in Nursing with a valid and unrestricted LPN or RN clinical license.
  • One year of clinical experience as a Health Care RT, HME RT, or clinical nursing with Vent experience.
  • CPR certification and a valid, unrestricted driver's license.
