We are seeking experienced 1st Class Ship Fitters for new construction projects in Newport News, VA. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient installation of shipboard equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a 1st Class Marine Shipfitter
- New construction experience required
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to read blueprints and navigate complex systems
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on your own
- Pass a preliminary written test and hands-on testing
